‘There’s still work to do’: Ex-Chelsea Joe Cole confident Arsenal will bounce back from disappointing defeat

Following Arsenal’s 2-0 Europa League defeat to PSV Eindhoven, ex-Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole offered some words of encouragement.

It was Arsenal’s first defeat in the competition. They still lead their group with 12 points and will be looking for a win against FC Zurich in their final group match to secure first place.

Arsenal has had a fantastic start to the season, both domestically and in Europe. However, last night was a letdown.

Joe Cole speaking after the game shared his thoughts:

“When Mikel shows that to his players and the details and the fundamentals – if they nailed that down, they come away with a point or three. There are more questions than answers tonight.”

“I don’t want to be too critical of this group of players because they’ve been very enjoyable but today is a reminder that there’s still work to do and a way to go.”
