Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s most successful manager, believes his former club can win the Premier League ahead of favourites Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur’s unbeaten start to the season was ended by Arsenal, who defeated them 3-1 at the Emirates yesterday.
Arsenal currently leads the league, one point ahead of league favourites Manchester City. Liverpool and Chelsea trail Arsenal by 11 and 10 points, respectively.

As a result, Wenger does not believe they can compete with City for the title. Given their recent form, he believes Arsenal are strong favourites to compete Manchester City.
When asked on beIN Sports if Arsenal could win the league, he replied:

‘Yeah, personally I would put them just behind City. Arsenal are] the second-best team to have a good chance to win the Premier League because Man City at some stage will focus highly on the Champions League.
“And after we don’t know about Liverpool but they are already 11 points behind and 10 points behind Man City is a mountain to climb.”
