Arsenal have won seven of their eight games under Arteta, and they currently lead the league with 21 points, just one point ahead of Manchester City.

On Saturday, his team thrashed Tottenham Hotspur, ending their unbeaten streak. Arsenal took all three points thanks to a Thomas Partey screamer and goals from Granit Xhaka and Jesus.

When asked by the media if his team had silenced their critics and could win the league after defeating a “big team,” he replied:

“100% [it was] needed because when you play such a big game you want to win.”

“Those opinions are correct because when you look at the start and just put it in that context you can do it, but it’s about how you give and receive information and how that affects you or not.”

“We understand that you can’t control because emotion is related. The table says what it says and we don’t look at that.”
