This follows the Gunners’ resounding victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. After being labelled as’soft,’ the Gunners put their doubters to shame with a 3-1 victory over Spurs.
Arsenal has had a better start to the league season, but critics claim they have only played smaller teams.

Rio Ferdinand, on the other hand, insists Arsenal are no longer soft, praising Arteta for instilling belief and toughness in the team. He told BT Sport:
“They [Arsenal] have come a massive way. ‘They’re chipping away at certain things that you could hold against them for example not playing a big team and winning – they lost to Man Utd.”
“They’re seen as a soft touch but this year they went to Brentford and won. They’re slowly erasing those scars which can only bode well for the future under Mikel Arteta.”
