Marquinhos, Arsenal’s 19-year-old winger, had an emotional day after scoring his first senior goal for the club.

Arsenal defeated FC Zurich 2-1 in Switzerland thanks to a goal from Marquinhos. Eddie Nketiah scored as well. Since his arrival from Brazil, the Brazilian has shown promise, most notably for the u-21s.

Arteta also introduced Fabio Vieira, whose ‘press resistance’ pass set Nketiah on a counter for Arsenal’s first goal.

Arsenal are currently looking for a winger to compete directly with Bukayo Saka, but if the Brazilian can maintain this form, Arsenal may reconsider.
